We got to know the other residents (dancers from SF), see the excellent work they were creating and performing, and there was an inspiring community vibe all around. The food was healthy and delicious, and the staff were warm, inviting and available to help or support in any way. My room was cozy and comfortable and exactly what I needed. I got a tremendous amount done and am very thankful for the opportunity to have that kind of focused and relaxed time. After lunch I would take a walk or hike (plenty of options) and then find another peaceful work spot. I am developing a new theater piece and was at BAC for a few days on my own before some of my company came to join me for the rest of the week. My days started with my yoga mat on the beautiful back lawn and then a few hours of work at the rock circle.
